Separate the magnetic plates from the rest of the clasp.

Step 2

Make round leather pieces by hammering the leather punch through the back of the furniture leather remnants. Make sure to have a solid support underneath.

Make round leather pieces by hammering the leather punch through the front of the solid leather remnants. Make sure to have a solid support underneath.

Place the magnets on a piece of paper. Apply glue (it’s a good idea to use gloves and have good ventilation).

Place the round leather pieces on a piece of paper. Apply glue (it’s a good idea to have good ventilation and to use gloves or a needle, when holding the round leather pieces in place). Leave them for approx. 10 minutes until the glue has become tacky.

Step 6

Place the glued side of the magnets in the middle of the back of the round leather pieces (the leather pieces made from furniture leather). After this, apply glue to the side of the magnets that faces upwards and leave the glue to become tacky once more.

Step 7

Place the magnets in the middle of the back with the two glued sides against each other. Apply glue to the magnet and leave it to dry completely.

You have now finished making your magnets :)
