These skins are sold as 2nd grade, meaning they may show greater variation in size, shape, and surface than first-grade skins – while still being fully usable for a wide range of creative projects.
The skins have a slightly glossy surface and vary significantly in both length and width. They come from wild-caught catfish, where the meat is used for consumption, making the leather a sustainable by-product.
