This awl handle has a flat handle and is well-suited for all our loose awls. The awl handle is perfect for driving holes for saddle stitch, where a diamond-shaped awl is used and must be kept at the same 45-degree angle so that a uniform and even seam is achieved. The flat handle fits well in the hand and ensures that it does not turn in the process.

When making stitching holes for saddle stitch, a line is first creased using either a creaser or a wing divider. Then roll a space marker through the line to mark the holes for the awl, and lastly these holes must be pierced through with the awl.
