The creaser is used to mark a seam line or to make patterns on the leather. 
When you choose to use the creaser to make a seam line, you must 
subsequently make sewing holes in the leather with a fork or run a marking 
wheel on the line and then make the holes with an awl.
Please note that the creaser is not adjustable.
Facts
The creaser is available in two sizes. Str. 1 makes a narrower mark than size 2.

With this creaser you get two tools in one. By running the tool along the leather, you round both the edges and make a groove, which you can then pierce with a Japanese chisel to make sewing holes. The groove can also serve as a decorative element on your leather projects and with a little ingenuity, it can be dyed with leather colour.
