Poul Strande is a trained blacksmith and since 1988 has worked with the manufacture of knife blades. 
Since 1995, he has worked exclusively with reparations and forging knife blades. 


Poul Strande’s knife blades are hand-forged, which means that each blade is unique, and because of this, length, shape and pattern can vary. 


Damascus steel is steel forged together from several different types of steel at high temperatures. The metal is then repeatedly forged and folded to create the various layers and patterns.
