NKD knife kits - an easy way of making your own knife, saving money and having a lot of fun. A screwdriver, a file and sandpaper is enough, although a rotaing disc sander is of much help. Gluing the scales is recommended, not absolutly necessary. You find brief instructions on the package. Colored liners of plastic, vulcanized fiber etc. can be attached between the scales and the handle.
