beLEAF is an innovative material created from natural palm leaves from the tropical plant Alocasia Macrorrhiza, also known as "Elephant Ear". The plant grows wild along rivers in forested areas about 100 km from Rio de Janeiro. It is selected for its large, characteristic leaves, which have a unique and aesthetic structure - and which make each piece of beLEAF unique.
