Wastea is a sustainable, vegan alternative to leather that is based on biological material.
The name Wastea is a contraction of "waste" and "tea", as the product primarily consists of tea waste from the production of tea.
The tea waste goes through a process of sorting, cleaning and mixing with bio-based polyurethane. Subsequently, dyeing, laminating and coating processes are carried out before it finally undergoes a quality control.


The finished product is usable in the same way as leather.


Facts
• Wastea is available in two thicknesses, 0.8 – 1.0 mm and 2.0 – 2.2 mm and in various colours. See the selection under variants.
• The edges of Wastea can be colored with products such as Ink Edge. The surface itself cannot be colored.
• A roll consists of one piece of 40 cm x 140 cm.
