Nice and uniform shoulder piece in a natural colour – available in two different thicknesses. The leather has an untreated but "shiny" surface.

These shoulders are tanned to be firm. 
These shoulders are a piece of quality leather from the traditional German tannery, August Renz, a family business with roots dating back to 1888. The impressive legacy continues today with three generations actively involved in running the business. It contributes to an up-to-date transition between tradition and modern, sustainable leather production.


August Renz dedicates itself exclusively to the production of vegetable tanned leather, and all production processes take place in their tannery in southern Germany.

•    Thickness: The shoulders are available in two thicknesses, respectively 1.0-1.5 mm and 2.0-2.2 mm
•    Size: 11-14 square feet, corresponding to a piece of approximately 80 cm x 120 cm

Vegetable tanned
•    All leather from August Renz is vegetable tanned. This means that no toxic chemicals or heavy metals have been used during production.

Advantage
•    The leather can be colored with for example, Waterstain or Leathers Choice leather dye.


Origin
•    Hides from local cows: August Renz obtains rawhide from local cows in southern Germany, which not only ensures high quality, but also reduces transport distances.


Use
•    Originally used for orthopedics, this tanning is also very suitable for knife sheaths if you want a product that is a little softer than raw rim leather and has the same properties.
