This single back is available in three different colours with a beautiful and unique look. During the final phase of the tanning process, the leather is enriched with oil, giving it a soft and supple feel while retaining its strength and firmness. The leather is incredibly strong, which makes it perfect for dog leads, harnesses, and extra-long belts. 
This single back is a piece of quality leather from the traditional German tannery, August Renz, a family business with roots dating back to 1888. The impressive legacy continues today with three generations actively involved in running the business. It contributes to an up-to-date transition between tradition and modern, sustainable leather production. 

August Renz dedicates itself exclusively to the production of vegetable tanned leather, and all production processes take place in their tannery in southern Germany.

•    Please note that the price listed refers to the price of the largest piece of leather available. 
•    When ordering, the price will be adjusted according to the size of the piece of leather you receive. 


Facts
•    Colour: Available in nature, brown and black 
•    Thickness: The single back is available in 3.0-3.5 mm
•    Size: 15-17 square feet, corresponding to a piece of approximately 70 x 210 cm. Please note that the measurements are approximate and that the pieces have the shapes of the animal.

Vegetable tanned
•    All leather from August Renz is vegetable tanned. This means that no toxic chemicals or heavy metals have been used during production. 
•    Aniline dyed leather

Origin
•    Hides form local cows: August Renz obtains rawhide from local cows in southern Germany, which not only ensures high quality, but also reduces transport distances. 

Use 
•    The single back can be used for dog leads, extra-long belts, harnesses, etc.

Colour and care
•    To maintain suppleness and finish, Leather’s Choice leather grease is recommended
•    Can be stained with Leather’s Choice leather dye or Waterstain
