The size indicated is the inside measurement of the buckle and thus the width of the strap that fits.

The buckle is mounted like other double buckles but requires a larger oval hole at the opposite end of the strap. The "eye" on the buckle must be able to fit through the hole, so that a small padlock can be inserted afterwards.

Zamak is a mixture of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper. The material is durable and easy to mold into different shapes. Products made from Zamak are often given a surface treatment to resemble metals such as gold, brass or stainless steel.
