Salmon Leather, Degradé features a beautiful two-tone finish, where the interplay of the two colours highlights the natural scale pattern of the skin. The scales and the underlying surface have different colour shades, creating an attractive contrast and giving the leather a vibrant and elegant appearance.

The leather undergoes a finishing treatment that creates a uniform base colour and increases the surface's resistance to wear. The scale structure is then enhanced with a contrasting colour, and the entire surface is pressed to preserve the natural pattern.

Salmon leather is very supple and has a dense, regular scale pattern that gives it a refined and elegant appearance. The combination of flexibility, fine texture and durability makes it particularly suitable for both decorative and functional purposes, including watch straps, jewellery, wallets and bags.

ICTYOS works with a network of local partners to ensure traceability throughout the supply chain. Short transport distances also help reduce the company's carbon footprint.

The fish skins are a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise have been discarded. Production therefore does not contribute to increased fishing but makes use of an existing resource in accordance with the principles of upcycling.

ICTYOS favours vegetable tanning agents derived from sources such as leaves, roots and fruits to limit the impact on forest resources.
