Salmon Leather, Irisé features a beautiful, slightly metallic finish, where reflections of light highlight the natural texture and scale pattern of the skin. The subtle sheen creates a vibrant play of colours that changes depending on how the light falls on the surface, giving the leather an elegant appearance.

The leather undergoes a finishing treatment that creates a uniform colour and increases the surface's resistance to wear. The entire surface is then pressed to preserve and enhance the natural scale pattern.

Salmon leather is very supple and has a dense, regular scale pattern. The combination of flexibility, fine texture and durability makes it particularly suitable for both decorative and functional purposes, including watch straps, jewellery, wallets and bags.

ICTYOS works with a network of local partners to ensure traceability throughout the supply chain. Short transport distances also help reduce the company's carbon footprint.

The fish skins are a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise have been discarded. Production therefore does not contribute to increased fishing but makes use of an existing resource in accordance with the principles of upcycling.

ICTYOS favours vegetable tanning agents derived from sources such as leaves, roots and fruits to limit the impact on forest resources.
