Copper rivets are solid rivets and therefore significantly stronger than standard double cap rivets. They are particularly suitable for joints that need to withstand stress and load.
The rivets have a raw and authentic look, making them ideal for heavier leatherwork.

The rivet consists of two parts:
• A post (shank)
• A separate burr (washer)

After trimming the post and peening the rivet, the end of the post is shaped and locks the burr securely in place. This creates an extremely strong and durable joint.

Installation
1.    Punch a hole where the rivet is to be placed.
2.    Insert the post through the material so it protrudes on the side you want as the front.
3.    Place the burr on the post and set it in place using the appropriate tool (sold separately).
4.    Trim the post so that a few millimetres extend above the burr.
5.    Finish by peening the rivet using the concave setting tool to form a neat rounded head that securely locks the burr.
