Aptan is a strong and durable sewing thread made from nylon (polyamide). The thread is particularly suitable for machine sewing leather, hides and heavy-duty fabrics where high demands are placed on seam strength and durability.

The thread is made from twisted nylon with a special bonded treatment that binds the fibres together, creating a smooth and uniform surface. This treatment reduces the risk of fraying or splitting during sewing and allows the thread to pass more easily through the material.

Nylon has high tensile strength, excellent abrasion resistance and a certain degree of elasticity. The combination of these properties makes the thread particularly suitable for products exposed to daily use and wear.
