This wing divider is used for marking seam lines when sewing in leather, and it can also be used for outlining round pieces of leather. The divider can outline circles with a diameter of up to approx. 29 cm, and it can be used for everything from leather coasters to place cards, pendants for keychains and much more. When outlining circles, it can be a good idea to mark the circle on the back of the leather so that the sharp tip of the divider will not make a dot in the leather. When the wing divider is used for marking seam lines, you can make the stitching holes either by using a chisel or rolling a space marker in the line and then piercing it through with an awl.
