Goatskin from August Renz is a soft, durable premium leather with a fine grain and a lightly waxed surface that gives the leather an exclusive appearance and a pleasant feel.
The leather is aniline dyed, meaning the surface is left untreated. This preserves the leather's natural grain and character, allowing the grain pattern and small natural markings to remain visible.

Vegetable Tanned
All leather from August Renz is vegetable tanned. This means the leather is tanned exclusively with natural plant-based tanning agents, without the use of chrome or other heavy metals in the tanning process.

Applications
Especially suitable for shoemaking, but also ideal for bags, upholstery and a wide range of other leathercraft projects.

Origin
This goatskin is produced by the renowned German tannery August Renz, a family-owned company with a history dating back to 1888.
Today, the tannery is run by the third generation, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern, sustainable production methods.
August Renz specialises exclusively in vegetable-tanned leather, and the entire production process takes place at the company's own tannery in southern Germany.
