Responsible Use of Resources

To ensure the highest quality of fish leather, ICTYOS carefully selects the finest fish skins from its French partners in the food industry.

To ensure traceability throughout the supply chain, ICTYOS works with a network of local partners. The short transport distances also help reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

ICTYOS uses fish skins that would otherwise have been discarded. This means that production does not contribute to increased fishing but instead makes use of an existing by-product according to the principles of upcycling.

ICTYOS favours vegetable tanning agents derived from sources such as leaves, roots and fruits to minimise the impact on forest resources.
