Trout Leather, Brillant features a beautiful, smooth and glossy surface, giving the leather an elegant and exclusive appearance. The special surface treatment enhances the leather's natural sheen and creates a uniform finish.

The leather undergoes a finishing treatment that creates a uniform colour and increases the surface's resistance to wear. The entire surface is then pressed to preserve the natural scale pattern and create a smooth, glossy finish.

Trout leather is supple and has a very fine and exceptionally uniform scale pattern. The small, delicate scales give the leather an elegant and detailed appearance, making it particularly suitable for both decorative and functional purposes, including watch straps, jewellery, wallets and bags.

Responsible Use of Resources

To ensure high quality, ICTYOS carefully selects fish skins from its French partners in the food industry.

ICTYOS works with a network of local partners to ensure traceability throughout the supply chain. Short transport distances also help reduce the company's carbon footprint.

The fish skins are a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise have been discarded. Production therefore does not contribute to increased fishing but makes use of an existing resource in accordance with the principles of upcycling.

ICTYOS favours vegetable tanning agents derived from sources such as leaves, roots and fruits to limit the impact on forest resources.
